I am dynamic, thoughtful and insightful. Mostly due to my work history as an English teacher in the public school setting in different areas of the country serving students of vastly different back grounds and levels of need. I have always been an independent thinker that often chooses the road less traveled, as my educational and professional history demonstrates. My journey from high school drop-out to high school teacher to writer and aspiring author has afforded me the experiences that contribute my DIY attitude and personal philosophy of working smarter not necessarily harder. Of course, all this horn-tooting would be meaningless if I didn't also possess some shred of humility and of course a wickedly humorous and quick wit. My tangible accomplishments also include admittance into the National Writing Project's Oregon chapter at Willamette University, my Certificate of Achievement from ETS for PRAXIS results excellence and regular contributions to AWORDWITHYOUPRESS.COM.
